Can I embroider, screen print, or tailor the product?
Yes, our product can be emobroidered, screen printed, and tailored. Keep in mind that the threads used to tailor or embroider a shirt will not have the same repellent properties as the rest of the product.
Where do I enter a discount code or gift card number?
Discount codes are entered in the checkout page. If you are on a mobile device click on the "Show order summary" link at the top of the checkout page to display the field.
My discount code is saying that my cart does not meet the requirements for the discount code.
Discount codes do not apply towards sale merchandise. Additionally some promos are only valid on certain products. Check the original source for more information.

Exchanges and Returns

What is your return or exchange policy?
We want to make sure you're happy with your product. That is why we offer a 30 day exchange/return policy from the time we ship out your order.

To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Please visit our Returns Center to process your return or exchange.

US based customers have the option of shipping the return themselves or receiving a prepaid return label. A $6 label fee will be deducted from the refund for this option.  Original shipping charges are non-refundable.  
If Redo coverage was purchased at checkout all US based exchanges and returns will be processed for free.

US based customers will receive a free prepaid shipping label for any exchange within the 30 day period.

International customers are responsible for shipping charges back to Ably.

We'll process your request as soon as we receive your shipment.  If we are out of stock on an exchange we will notify you and ship out the replacement as soon as new goods arrive

What happens if I order the wrong size?
We will gladly exchange an item within 30 days after we ship you the product. US based customers will receive a free prepaid return label. Please use the contact us page to obtain a Return Merchandise Number (RMA) and further instructions. 

Order Processing and Shipping

Do you offer expedited shipping?
We offer 3 day, 2nd day, and next day delivery to the United States. International expedited services are available and will vary depending on the destination. International expedited services will take 3 - 7 days depending on destination and service level chosen.
Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free 2 day shipping to the US excluding PO boxes on orders $40 and up.
We offer free standard shipping to the US on all PO box orders on orders $40 and up.
Do you ship to Canada?
We ship Canadian orders through our Canadian website,
How long will it take to receive my order?
All orders ship from Seattle, Washington, USA.

Domestic orders to the contiguous US with standard shipping will take 1 - 7 business days after they are processed.
Standard orders to Alaska, and Hawaii will take 2 business days to arrive.
International orders shipping via the postal service will take 5 - 15 business days to arrive.
Expedited international orders will take 3 - 7 business days depending on the service chosen and destination.
When is my order processed?
Orders received weekdays before 10 AM PST are processed the same day. Orders received after that time are processed on the following business day with the exception of US holidays when the distribution center is closed.

US holidays include New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday immediately after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

All orders from ship from Seattle, Washington, USA.
Who is responsible for Duties and Taxes on international shipments?
The receiver is the importer of record and therefore, must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees imposed by the destination country. The receiver of an international shipment may be subject to such taxes, duties and fees, which are charged once a shipment reaches the receiver's country. It is the receiver’s responsibility to pay for these additional charges for customs clearance. Ably® Apparel has no control over these charges, nor can Ably® predict what they may be. Customs policies vary from country to country so you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.


Are Ably® Apparel garments anti-microbial?
Ably®'s 100% cotton apparel is "Filium®-activated". We cannot and do not make the claim that Ably® clothing is "anti-bacterial". However, Filium®-activation means that our Ably® tee shirts and hoodies do not absorb and retain many microbes found in human sweat, which cause garments - including most synthetic active wear - to retain odor. This is why you can wear and workout in an Ably® shirt or hoodie for days on end and it will still smell fresh.
Is the Filium® technology safe?
The core technology of Filium® is manufactured in accordance with bluesign® standards for sustainably. Filium® does not contain any nanoparticles, silver, or harmful chemicals that can leach into your skin.
What makes Ably® Apparel different from other clothing that claims to be repellent?
While most, if not all, other clothing claiming to be repellent are made with petroleum-based synthetic materials (nylon, polyester, etc.), Ably® Apparel is 100% natural premium cotton, no synthetics and no nanoparticles. Filium®, our trade secret patent-pending technology, allows us to create natural fabrics and clothing that repel stains, liquids and odors, and have them retain the natural feel, soft touch, and breathability that most of us prefer.
Will Ably® Apparel repel and not absorb every single type of stain, dirt or liquid?
Is Ably® Apparel absolutely perfect? Of course not, nothing is. It probably will absorb dirt, charcoal, or anything else for that matter if it is rubbed or ground into the garment. Since that is not a particularly likely scenario, we can say that if you do accidentally spill wine, coffee, or other liquid on your pristine Ably® tee shirt or hoodie, it’s probably a good idea to sprinkle a few water drops on it, or just flick it off.

Washing and Care

Are there any special laundering instructions for Ably®?
As with other premium cotton garments, we recommend washing Ably® Apparel in cold water with a mild detergent only (no bleach or no other additives). Then you may machine dry on medium heat, but do not add any fabric sheets or other softeners. To be completely eco-friendly, you can hang dry your Ably® – our clothing does not need to be tumble dried to resist stains and odors. Do not wring dry. Do not dry clean. Can Ably® be dry cleaned?
No, dry cleaning will harm the Filium® properties.
Can Ably® be ironed without damaging the Filium® properties?
Yes! Ironing is not a problem. Iron on a cotton setting as much as you please.
How many wash cycles can Ably® go through before it loses its stain, liquid and odor repelling properties?
The apparel industry estimates that cotton garments have an average life of 30 to 40 washes. Since you don’t need to wash your Ably® tee shirt or hoodie as often as other clothing, and if you follow our care instructions when you wash, we estimate that your Ably® garment’s superior stain/odor/liquid resistant properties should last you for an even longer period of time.
How many times can I wear Ably® before I have to wash it?
Ably® Apparel has been wear- and performance-tested for several years now, both in-house and by independent labs. We’ve also had some folks wear Ably® tee shirts in the gym for a month, and for more than a week at a time in hot and steamy places like Cuba and India. They were all astounded that their shirts stayed odor and stain free.

As such, Ably® tee shirts and hoodies will need to be washed only infrequently (as little as once or twice a month), depending on just how much it has been worn and for what use.
What do I do if something gets on my clothing?
If something does get on your garment the best thing to do is to try and rinse it with water. Do not rub the affected area as this will force it into the fabric. If this does leave a mark then wash the item per our washing instructions, that should get your Ably® Apparel looking fresh and new again.


What is Installments with Afterpay?
Installments with Afterpay is a service that allows you to make purchases now and pay for them in four payments made every 2 weeks without any interest.
How do I use Installments with Afterpay?
Simply shop online and add items to your shopping bag and checkout as normal. At the checkout choose Installments with Afterpay as your payment method. First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details, as usual, returning customers simply log in to make their purchase. It’s that easy! Please note that all items in your shopping bag must be eligible for Installments with Afterpay. A minimum purchase amount may apply and you must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify.
Where can I use Installments with Afterpay?
Installments with Afterpay can only be applied to purchases made on the website.
Can I use Installments with Afterpay if I’m an international customer?
Afterpay is only offered to our customers who have a US billing address, US shipping address, a US Visa or Mastercard (credit or debit card), or American Express and a US mobile phone number. Customers with international billing addresses, shipping addresses, and/or phone numbers will not be able to set up an account with Afterpay.
How does the payment schedule work?
All customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted every two weeks from your chosen payment method. If you choose to make additional payments before your scheduled pay dates, you may do so through your Afterpay account.
You can log in to your Afterpay account to view your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date if you choose to do so.

When will my items be delivered if I use Installments with Afterpay?
Afterpay orders are delivered as per our standard shipping time frame after you complete your order online.
Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single transaction?
Yes, transaction value limits apply to purchases made on using Installments by Afterpay.
What products are not eligible for purchase using Installments with Afterpay?
Afterpay is not available on purchases of gift cards. If you are purchasing gift cards along with Afterpay eligible products, you will need to place two separate orders.
How do I return or exchange an item purchased using Installments with Afterpay?
If you have changed your mind, you can return your Afterpay purchase for a refund. Please check that your return or exchange meets our Return policy here. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay.

What if I can’t pay an Afterpay installment?
If funds are not available or you otherwise do not make your payment when it is due, late fees may apply. Click here for complete terms.
What happens if I have a partial refund, and how does that affect my payments?
Afterpay will be notified once your refund is processed. Your payment plan will be automatically adjusted to reflect the new total order value starting with the last payment and working backward. Note that the length of payments will never go beyond six weeks after the purchase date. In the case where a refund amount is larger than 25% of the total order, Afterpay will eliminate the fourth instalment payment and charge the remaining amount to your third payment.
